Detailed Care Records

As part of the NHS Care Records Service (CRS) the NHS is joining up primary, secondary and community-care patient information in a safe and secure way by introducing electronic detailed care records. With patient information being stored and accessed across regional boundaries, the NHS has an obligation to inform their patients about how and in what circumstances their information will be accessed.

NHS CRS requested the creation of an identity system and a communication toolkit providing local NHS organisations with the necessary resources to support this programme.

An adjustable graph has been developed as the central asset. It is not a static device, and adapts to content and channel requirements. The device reflects real world variables of the programme, such as levels of security for electronic information, levels of sensitivity in patient information and the diverse NHS bodies, departments and employees accessing patient information.
